Finding ways to ski for less at Utah resorts can be a challenge. There are local discounts out there, such as Utah resident special prices at Deer Valley, or the Cherry Picker Pass at The Canyons. But unfortunately, Utah doesn’t have the kind of love-for-locals that Colorado skiers get. Over there, Coloradoans can get a season pass to three resorts (Arapahoe Basin, Keystone and Breckenridge) for only $399. Those of us living in Utah have to scrounge for deals.
One way to ski-for-less is to get a Frequent Fueler Card from Phillips 66 to receive 2-for-1 lift tickets to Snowbird. Anybody who doesn’t have a season pass to Snowbird should take advantage of this offer as it’s probably the best chance to ski Snowbird for such a low price.
In order to get the Snowbird tickets, simply go to any participating Phillips 66 gas station and grab a frequent fueler card. Fill up your gas tank with at least 8 gallons of gas, and have the attendant stamp your card. Once you get four validation stamps, make sure they sign the card. That’s all there is to it. Grab a friend, head to Snowbird, and split the cost of a lift ticket so you both can ski for half off.
If you already have a pass to Snowbird, you can also use the Phillips 66 Frequent Fueler Card to purchase 2-for-1 gear rentals from three different shops, including Creekside Sports and Christy Sports at Snowbird plus Ski ‘N See locations around the Salt Lake Valley.
Phillips 66 is only stamping cards until November 30, so get fueling. The 2-for-1 lift ticket offer at Snowbird is valid until December 25. Take advantage of it while you can, because skiing in Utah isn’t cheap, even for locals.
