Spring can be the highlight of the ski season with its monster wet storms, corn cycle and, of course, the parties. One of the biggest celebrations in Utah is Spring Grüv at The Canyons Resort in Park City. For over a week, from March 26th through April 4th, The Canyons transforms into Grand Central Station of music, food, drink and entertainment.
As is tradition, Spring Grüv kicks off on Saturday, March 27 with a pond skimming contest, where outlandish costumes are not only encouraged, but expected. Following the carnage in the pond, Big Head Todd and the Monsters take the stage for a live concert.
The next night, watch (or compete) in the Canis Lupus Challenge, a slamon race through a banked, 1/2 mile-long natural halfpipe. Following that carnage is a live show from ’90’s-era ska band Fishbone. Remember “Party at Ground Zero?” Yea, that Fishbone.
Other events include the Red Bull 1976 Games, the Miller Lite Downhill Dish Series, and free concerts from Robert Randolph & the Family Band and The Soulstics.
