All 392 U.S. National Parks will be waiving entrance fees during National Parks Week. From April 17th through the 25th, you can explore one of Utah’s 17 National Parks, Monuments, Historic Sites and Recreation Areas for free.
Hike the vertigo inducing trail of Angel’s Landing in Zion National Park, stand beneath Delicate Arch in Arches National Park, walk under sandstone spans in Natural Bridges National Monument, or check out ancient bones at Dinosaur National Monument. You can do it all without paying a dime at the entrance booth.
In honor of National Parks Week, there are several events scheduled, including Junior Ranger Day activities at Glen Canyon, Centennial Celebrations at Rainbow Bridge, and the March For Parks at the Golden Spike National Historic Site.
But the best reason to travel to one of Utah’s National Parks in April shouldn’t be for the waived fees or cultural events. The best reason to go is to enjoy the perfect April weather. There’s no better time of year to hike or backpack in southern Utah than April, and that’s reason enough to lace up your hiking boots, grab your backpack and get outside.

It’s a good news . America’s Best Idea – the national parks – gets even better this year with several fee-free days at more than 100 national parks that usually charge entrance fees.
