A sweet video came out this week on Vimeo of Utah skier Marshall Miller and his friends “speed flying” off the summit of Mount Superior. What is speed flying you ask? It’s when you ski down a mountain with a paragliding parachute strapped to yourself. This allows a skier to not only make some turns on the headwall, but also hop off giant ridges and boulder strewn fins where no skis have ever gone before. Speed flying looks like a hell of a thrill and this POV video gives a pretty good sense of what it’s like to soar off the most iconic mountain above Alta. Just check out the video below and be amazed.
Superior, Speed Fly from Marshall Miller on Vimeo.
Seems Marshall Miller has made a lot of ballsy descents here in Utah, including jumps off the south wall of Notch Peak. To see all of his videos, check out his Vimeo page.
