Chaco is one of the top manufacturers of outdoor sandals, and they’re banking on that success with the release of new boots and shoes. No longer is Chaco’s domain limited by the naked-toed masses. Those who love the feel of Chaco’s classic Vibram soles can now wear them whether it’s summer or winter. The Outdoor Retailer 2011 Winter Market in Salt Lake City was the venue for Chaco to show off their new boots and shoes.
First up is the comfy looking slip-on called the Chaco Zaggonit. It features a full grain leather upper, pigskin-lined microsuede liner, with taped seams, ADDSTRIDE midsole and that Vibram Burly Outsole. Looks like the ideal choice for after-skiing activities, or quick trips like dog walks or bringing the garbage cans in from the curb.
Next up is this trendy-looking mountain man boot called the Credence Tall. The name makes me envision a mellow stream bordered with willows and reeds on a crisp autumn day. Maybe I should be a catalog writer. The Credence Tall is an 11-inch pull on boot with full leather uppers and that famous Vibram sole.
For the women, the Chaco Belyn Baa caught my attention. I assume the Baa refers to the sheepskin liner inside these boots. It’s a 9-inch suede/full grain leather upper with all the other bells and whistles that Chaco put into their new boots. It comes in five styles, from straight up black, to these purple ones with crazy patterns on the toe and heel.
Not sure they’re Chaco? The proof is in the Vibram Sole. All of their new boots and shoes have the classic Vibram Sole that have made their sandals a mainstay in the outdoor community. Now you can wear your Chacos all year long.
