Get out your mask and beads along with your skis, because Mardi Gras is coming to Brian Head Resort. Spring skiing will take on New Orleans style in southern Utah, and it looks like it’s going to be a party.
Here are a few things going on throughout the day:
Ski/Board Poker Run: 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.- Registration starts at 9 a.m.,
3rd floor of Giant Steps Lodge. Show down at 3:30 p.m., 3rd floor of Giant
Steps Lodge. Winner receives 2011/2012 Season Pass. No cost.
Just Jumps Jam: 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. – Registration starts at 9 a.m., 3rd
floor of Giant Steps Lodge. Two 20 minutes sessions starting at 12:30 p.m.
in the Progressive Park, first two jumps on medium side. Great prizes from
Tyrant Snowboards, Skull Candy and Smith Optics.
Mardi Gras Costume Downhill Parade: Meet at the bottom of Chair 2 at noon
or catch up with the parade when they come by the top of Chair 3 about 20
minutes later. All participants will receive a bounce back coupon for a
cheap mid-week lift ticket.
Mardi Gras Music, Limbo, Dance and Costume Contest: Behind Giant Steps
Lodge 11 a.m. Winner of each contest will receive free lift ticket.
Of course it wouldn’t be Mardi Gras unless beads are given away throughout the resort all day long. Get in the spirit if you go, because you’l get discounts on food and retail if you show up wearing a costume. Mardi Gras at Brian Head goes down on Saturday, March 12.
