The nice thing about Utah, is that it could be puking snow outside in the north, and be sunny and warm down in St. George and Hurricane. For those of you who despise the snow, and hate (or don’t know) how to ski, then mountain biking down south can be the only way of escaping the cold and ice. Lucky for us, some of the best mountain biking in the country can be found on the mesas just outside Hurricane, as evidenced in the video, “Mesa Riding.”
Friend of UtahOutside.com, Mike DeBernardo, has been killing it with his ski and mountain bike videos, and his latest, “Mesa Riding,” is awesome stoke for anyone who’s not so happy about seeing the snow. He and John Gilchrist rode and camped in Southern Utah just outside of Zion National Park on Little Creek, Gooseberry and Grafton Mesas.
More than just bombing down trails or following the painted dots on slickrock, “Mesa Riding” shows how you can “session” the slickrock, finding creative ways to follow the contours of geologic time. Watch the video below:
