Of all the ways to score discount tickets at one of Utah’s ski resorts, none are quite as well known or feel-good as Brighton’s Quad Wednesdays. For three weeks in December, the holiday spirit of giving falls upon Big Cottonwood Canyon as thousands of skiers and snowboarders fill Brighton’s slopes to give to charity, and in return, have the opportunity to buy lift passes for only $20.
This year, Brighton’s Quad Wednesdays begins on December 7th, where you can bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate to Toys for Tots. In return for your generosity, Brighton will hand you a day pass for only $20.
Then on Wednesday, December 14th, you can donate a coat, gloves or a package of new, unopened socks to the Road Home Homeless Shelter.
The final Quad Wednesday happens just before Christmas on December 21st, where you can purchase a $20 lift ticket after donating a bag of non-perishable groceries to the Utah Food Bank.
Tis the season to give. So be generous and donate to one of or all the above charities at Brighton’s Quad Wednesday and get a cheap ski day in return. It’s really a no-brainer.
