Local ski company, Viice Skis, needs your help in catching a thief that stole thousands of dollars of ski equipment in Midvale.
According to FOX 13, last Wednesday, the suspect broke into a Subaru belonging to Viice Skis owner, Scott Berry. His car was parked outside the shop, located at 7030 S. 400 W. After staying overnight in the shop, Berry get up to go skiing with friends, when he noticed the theft. Several thousands of dollars worth of custom skis and other gear were stolen.
Unified Police have released security video in the hopes that the suspect can be identified. The footage shows a red hatchback-style car pulling into the parking lot around 6 a.m. According to the report, the skis would be very easy to identify as they have custom graphics and there are only a few like them in the world.
Viice Skis is a boutique ski company that, according to their website, are dedicated to building a “high quality, very durable, extremely versatile product that will appeal to the general skiing public, do it in the USA, and offer it at an affordable price.” Each ski is custom built by Berry, from start to finish, one ski at a time.
