It seems the entire state of Utah is on fire, with dozens of wildfires scorching hundreds of thousands of acres across our mountains. Whole towns have been evacuated, homes have been destroyed, and just when we think it can’t get any worse, more huge fires keep popping up. Well, it can be worse… much worse. All one has to do is take a look at our neighbors to the east to see how bad it could get here in Utah.

Two giant fires along the front range, the High Park Fire near Fort Collins, and most notably the Waldo Canyon Fire in Colorado Springs, have destroyed hundreds of homes, and displaced thousands of people. Many of us here in Utah know someone who is affected by these fires, or are now homeless as a result of them.

Well, instead of standing idly by and watching as our neighbors burn, we can help by purchasing Wild Fire Tees. It’s a benefit to help Colorado residents who need it the most. A group of artists and designers have banded together to create t-shirts with fire-related prints to be sold online. 100% of the proceeds will go to help victims of the Colorado wildfires.

These t-shirts are an awesome way to get the community together and raise money for the fire fighting efforts, and to help those who have lost everything to such a massively destructive force.

The organizers of Wild Fire Tees are also in the process of looking for even more designers to donate their time and creativity to the effort.

Shirts are $20 and will be delivered sometime in mid July.

Of course there are victims of wildfires here in Utah as well, so if anybody knows of similar fundraising efforts in our state, please let us know and we’ll get the word out.
