Montana Fly Company is one of many brands making an appearance at Outdoor Retailer, as fly fishing gains in popularity among hikers, skiers and rock climbers. The peace and quiet of casting flies into a flowing river and catching fish is a joy that’s been well known among the hunter/fisher types, but has only recently been gaining traction among the Outdoor Retailer set. And just like the old guard on the Salt Palace Floor, Montana Fly Company has new products to show off.

The Boat Box is a product that never existed before, or so says Montana Fly Company. It’s a waterproof box filled with pre-slotted foam inserts and optional leaf inserts to hold all your flies, like over 1,700 flies in one box, assuming you have that many! The box can be totally customized to your needs. It’s available in different colors and will soon feature Artist Series patterns for trippy, fishy effects.

Speaking of the Artist Series, how about adding some bling to your reel? The Madison II and IIa reels are your typical MFC drag system that has faster line pickup and more indexing for a lighter weight and manageable reel. It looks really cool and clearly is well built, but what really makes it stand apart is the fashionable designs featuring the work of several artists displayed right on the outside of the reel.

The Montana Fly Company artists also bling other accessories like smart phone cases, fly holders, and more. All of which are perfect gifts for the fish-lover and trout catcher in your life.
