In Utah, you must be prepared for any weather. ISIS has the perfect jacket for any mountain town woman. (And if you’re looking for something to buy with money you got for the holidays…here it is.)
The Park City Jacket is perfect on its own or layered with a puffy vest underneath. This modern day pea coat is a flattering cut for any size. It can look dressy with a cute scarf or be worn while walking the dogs. For me, the sign of a good jacket is one that repels water and dog fur doesn’t get stuck in the fabric. This jacket excelled in both areas.
Since winter was a long time coming this year, I spent several days working in rain rather than snow. Water rolled off the Isis Park City jacket and didn’t soak into the fabric. I was afraid I was going spend the day in a soggy jacket. The water resistant soft shell fabric with stood both rain and snow. When the wind picked up and temperatures dropped, I added another layer below the jacket to help stay warm. Despite my additional layer, the jacket was trendy, warm, and functional. The two-way front zip and storm flap with the ISIS ring snaps does a great job keeping the wind out.
Inside the jacket, the interior is a marbled gray and white fleece. Did I mention how much I love putting on a fleece jacket? There are times when I come home from work or school and I leave the jacket on because it’s soft and warm. This is where the dog fur comes in. It is impossible to sit down at our house and not get dog fur on your clothing. The fur came off the jacket with a simple shake and a few brushes of the hand.
The first time I shoved my hand into the pockets I discovered they are super cozy because they are lined with fleece. Perfect for when you forget your gloves and it’s a bit nippy outside. The pockets have a zipper closure which is great when you need to put your keys somewhere and don’t want them to fall out. As I was cleaning out the pockets one day, I pulled out a piece of paper that said, “You are a goddess!” I immediately put the paper back in the pocket. You never know when you may need a reminder like that.
If I could make one change to this Isis jacket it would be to add a hood. I love hoods because they are necessary when you work outdoors to help keep the elements off your head and block the wind from blowing on the back of your neck.
I have yet to wear the jacket to Park City, Utah. But the day I do, I’ll be sure to remind people I’m wearing the Park City in Park City. This winter worthy jacket looks great no matter what the season or occasion.
