To ensure all who want to see the entirety of this amazing course, every other year it will reverse directions ensuring everyone gets to enjoy all the beauty this course has to offer.
Types Of Relays
As noted, this relay is different than all others because you get to choose your mode of transportation. Whether you want to do all the running legs or choose to participate in each of the three different categories, running, mountain biking, road cycling, or paddling. The Tri-Relay 220-miles consists of 5 and 10 member teams, which consist of running, mountain biking, road cycling and one leg of canoeing across Strawberry Reservoir. Break down the 30 legs any way your team desires. Choose to do all three legs of just running or do one leg of each: run, mountain bike, and road cycling. Each team must decide who the two man canoe team will be (canoes will be provided or you can bring your own). In addition to the Tri-Relay option, we will also have the traditional All-Running-relay 182-miles with 6 and 12 member teams. You will forgo the option to bike and paddle. All legs will be run. The All-Running-relay will follow the same course as the Tri-Relay, minus 35 miles and minus the individual legs. You, as the runner, will decide how far you want to run and when to hand-off to the next team member. The All-Running-relay will follow the same course markings as the Tri-Relay.
