Clayton Hoyt Butler and Amber Bellows are two Utahns that clearly were born to fly, and not just because that’s the tagline of their blog. This couple travels all over Utah looking for cliffs to jump from, slopes to Ski-Fly, scenery to enjoy and wildlife to admire.
But it’s new videos of this gravity-fueled duo that’s gotten some attention. The first, “BASE Jump Showcase: Squaw Peak” by Josh Lloyd features Butler and Bellows as they fly off a high cliff in Provo’s Rock Canyon during the magic-hour of the setting sun. The edit takes an adrenaline-fueled, extreme sport and makes it seem almost relaxing… almost. Check it out below:
Josh Lloyd is also responsible for another Utah outdoor video that has made the rounds – “SkiBASE Showcase: The Hellgate Cliffs.” In it, Butler ski flys over Alta’s most prominent cliffs – the Hellgate Cliffs. He begins by skiing down the slopes of Mount Superior, then takes to the air over the cliffs while tapping trees with his skis and coming dangerously close to massive rock walls before landing right next to Little Cottonwood Canyon Road. The video continues with Bellows BASE jumping off a gigantic cliff, free-falling forever before opening her chute.
It ends with Butler ski-flying off Mount Superior as he literally plays with the mountain’s south ridge. Just watching the video makes my palms sweaty.

Beautiful shots of Utah’s scenery thanks for the ride
That ski video makes me nauseous. I’m sure he knows what he’s doing it looks so sketchy!
And Amber Bellows just DIED doing it. Was it worth it?
