The Ski Salt Lake Shootout is happening right now in Utah’s Wasatch Mountains, and the after-party at Brewvies will be the place to go on Saturday night to check out all the shreddy photos, mingle with world-class photographers and ski athletes, and have a good time. Plus, ticket proceeds will go to help the Utah Avalanche Center.
The Ski Salt Lake Shootout is now in its seventh year, and the contest pairs up top professional photographers and local pro athletes to battle it out for more than $11,000 in cash prizes and bragging rights as they attempt to capture the magic of the Cottonwood Canyon resorts and Ski Salt Lake on film and sensor.
This years photographers include 2-time defending champ Steve Lloyd, as well as locals Jay Dash, Jim Harris and Erik Hostetler. Four out of state photographers will also be vying for the win which include Bruno Long, Rylan Schoen, Justin Cash and Tim Lloyd.
Also, our favorite athlete (’cause she’s our friend) Lexi Dowdall is in the comp, so we’re pulling for her! While at Brewvies, you’ll have a chance to meet the athletes and photographers and see their work. There will also be a drawing for lots of donated gear and awards with all proceeds going to the Utah Avalanche Center.
Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door, with all proceeds going to the Utah Avalanche Center. Brewvies is located at:
