Fall of 2015 will be a season to watch out for Mountain Khakis product hitting store shelves, as retro-mountain style is on the rise in both men and women’s clothes and jackets. Here’s a look at what we’ll be wearing in about 8 months:
Alpha Switch Jacket
One of the few technical pieces coming from Mountain Khakis is the Alpha Switch Jacket. They call it the MacGyver of jackets as it’s reversible with a stretch-woven material on one side, and DWR ripstop on the other. In between, there’s Polartec Alpha insulation. They say it is super breathable and packs down small, so it’s a good, all-around outdoor layer, even for backcountry skiing. It will be available Fall 2015 with an MSRP of $250
Powder Merino 8 Sweater
Now this is mountain retro, and I love it. The Powder 8 is a total throwback to the ski sweaters of old. Imagine a lodge with antlers and old skis on the wall, a roaring fire, and a glass of whiskey at you side. This sweater will take you there. MSRP: $200
Wanderlust Fleece
For the ladies, here’s a unique take on a technical fleece. The Wanderlust adds some style with a high-pile weave, overlapping neck, and offset zipper. MSRP: $135
Christopher Fleece Lined Shirt
This has got to be the most comfortable-looking shirt on earth. The Christopher is a plaid flannel with a twist – fleece lining on the inside. But this is no ordinary fleece, is it high-pile, soft, supple, buttery fleece. I think if I ever put this shirt on, it will never, ever come off. Also available in the women’s Christi Fleece. MSRP: $110
Double Down Parka
This classic-looking jacket is filled with down combined with a washable, waxed exterior for those bitter cold days. MSRP: $350
Shout Down Vest
Also new in women’s wear is the Shout Down Vest. MSRP: $150
