Do you go to sleep at night dreaming of running, biking, swimming or skiing? Do you wake hours before sunrise to hit the pool for a Masters Swim class or methodically organize gear for a long training day?
Utah athletes take note: there’s a new trade show in town and it’s all about endurance!
The Endurance Sports Show kicks off February 20-21, 2015 at Sandy City’s South Towne Expo Center. In its first year, the show has an impressive agenda and diverse lineup of athletes, manufacturers, race directors, coaches, non-profits and endurance celebrities!
The Endurance Sports Show will offer a three-part event including an expo with over 150 vendors, a Seminar Series hosted by LiVe Well SLC and multiple free events.

Event and Seminar Series Manager Nate Thomas and his staff plan to create an annual gathering place for all endurance participants.
The show welcomes 5k enthusiasts, ultra-runners, weekend cyclists looking to do his/her first century, serious racers, long/short course triathletes and even other endurance sports such as Nordic skiing.
“We want to become a resource for quality learning through the seminar series, to better everyone wherever they may be in the endurance community. Education is key to improving understanding how to become better,” said Thomas.
Beginning Friday afternoon, the Endurance Sports Show kicks off with open water swim clinics, seminars and free showings of Prefontaine, Breaking Away, and For the Love of Mud.
Prior to the Saturday schedule of seminars, movies and vendors, the show is sponsoring a 5K Winter Run at 9:00 a.m. This fun run is FREE after the purchase of show tickets.
Purchase Tickets for Utah Endurance Expo
In addition to other events taking place over the weekend, the Endurance Sports Expo is also hosting a Bike & Gear Swap throughout the show.
Bike & Gear Swap
The Bike & Gear Swap comes at an ideal time of the year for runners, bikers, skiers and triathletes who typically must wait for spring/fall swaps to clean out the gear closet.
The show will begin accepting gear at noon Thursday, February 19th at the South Towne Expo Center (9575 S State Street, Sandy, UT 84070).
A $2.00 fee will be charged to register bikes for the swap. Other gear will be charged a $1.00 processing fee. Sellers will retain 90% of the selling price. All fees will be donated to nonprofits including: One Revolution Foundation, Team Kid Courage and the Utah High Cycling League.
Gathering the Endurance Community
With 1,000 tickets pre-sold, Thomas is expecting between 3,000 to 5,000 attendees in the show’s inaugural year.
“We have gathered experts in the community on cycling, running, and triathlon topics ranging from training, exercise physiology, nutrition, sports psych, and injury prevention,” Thomas noted. “We want to link people to events that are available and help them plan out their upcoming season.”
If you swim, bike, run or ski, join Thomas and his staff at the Endurance Sports Show to grow community involvement in endurance sports and help to create a fun Utah tradition for the love of endurance!
