Trail running season is upon us. For proof, look no further than the Wasatch Trail Run Series, which kicks off at Corner Canyon in Draper. On Wednesday, April 8th at 6:30 pm, join your fellow trail runners for a fun event to get your running legs under you.
For just $20, you get to compete in either a short or long trail run, which includes a post-race raffle. Prizes will be given away like gift certificates for trail running shoes and entrance to the XTERRA Utah Trail Run. According to race organizers, the Corner Canyon course winds thru beautiful, tree covered, single track trails with sweeping views of the Salt Lake Valley. This is the 1st of 13 races in the series which runs from April-August.
For those of you who are still in winter slug shape, the short course is a mere 3-4 miles, while the long course is 7-8 miles. Both long and short options will be offered at every race throughout the series. Both courses will be the same $20 price.
On the day of the event, registration begins at 5:30 pm. The race starts at 6:30 in the main Corner Canyon Park Trailhead parking area near the Andy Ballard Equestrian Center in Draper.
