New mountain bike trails are being cut all the time these days, especially here in Utah. So many new trails are opening that it’s hard to keep track of them all! One trail that just caught our attention is in a place where no mountain biking has ever been before – Goblin Valley.
Emery County, Utah and Utah State Parks have recently commissioned a whole new trail system in Goblin Valley State Park. According to builders, riding this new singletrack will “feel like riding on Mars.” In a promotional video, trail builders and mountain bikers on fat bikes are seen crafting some narrow track into the desert along the undulating terrain features in the Goblin Valley area. Check it out:
You know these trails will be good because one of those guys creating the singletrack is Scott Escott of Grand County Trail Mix – he’s the guy responsible for all the 100-miles of new singletrack in Moab.
We’re not sure when these trails will be finished and ready to ride, but as soon as we check them out for ourselves, we’ll be sure to bring you a full report!
