The Hurricane Mountain Bike Festival happens every spring, and is one annual event no Utah mountain hiker should miss. Located in the southwest desert near St. George, Hurricane is fast becoming a world-class MTB destination. Hell, many claim it’s already on par with places like Fruita, Sedona or Moab – many people just haven’t heard about it yet. But if there is little doubt as to the amazing slickrock/singletrack riding potential on the mesas, then I present this featured video: “Hurricane Mountain Bike Festival and Little Creek Ride.”
For the 2015 event, I joined Over the Edge Sports owner, Quentin Morisette, and a bunch of festival-goers on a group ride to Little Creek. It was on the final day of the fest, and everyone was coming off their weekend-long high of riding and partying. While enjoying the terrain features, views and slickrock at Little Creek, I also shot a segment for KSL Outdoors, which aired on April 4th, 2015. You can see the segment below.
So if you’re jonesing to get on your bike and away from winter next March, I highly suggest your join in on the fun at the Hurricane Mountain Bike Festival. You’ll meet great people, jam out to awesome live music, eat and drink ’till you can’t take any more, get loaded with swag, and, of course, ride some of the sweetest mountain bike trails in Utah.
