Leatherman, the ubiquitous multitool company, is making waves at the Outdoor Retailer 2015 Summer Market. The reason, is that they’ve completely rethought multitool design with their Tread “anytime, anywhere” steel bracelet. In addition, the new Signal sets a higher standard for survival gear you can keep in your pocket.
Tread
The Tread is a steel bracelet that is loaded with tons of tools like allen wrenches, screwdrivers, and box wrenches. In fact, there’s 25 different tools in all. Each is linked together and easy to take apart so you have the right tool at a moment’s notice. It’s adjustable to any wrist size, and you can even customize it so you have the tools you think you’ll need most. Plus, it’s only 5.3 ounces, making this bracelet one you won’t mind wearing all day.
Signal
The Signal is Leatherman’s survival multitool. With features like a safety whistle, can opener, and fire-starting tools, this is one Leatherman you won’t want to go into the woods without. The Signal has 19 tools in all, including a diamond-coated sharpener to maintain your blade, in addition to your usual tools like pliers, wire cutters, knife, saw, hammer, and the all important bottle opener.
Both tools are available in 2015.
