Centerville-based Klymit is upping their backpack game with innovative features like inflatable pack frames and back panels. At Outdoor Retailer’s 2015 Summer Market, two new packs were on display including the company’s first fully waterproof pack.
SPLASH 25
The Splash 25 is a lightweight, waterproof pack featuring Klymit’s Air Frame technology. It has a full fold and roll closure at the top, and a pump on the straps allows you to inflate and deflate the pack so you can customize it, on-the-fly, to your own comfort level.
But in my opinion, the best part of the Air Frame is that it makes the pack float. Combined with the pack’s waterproof qualities, I’d say this is the ultimate rafting, fishing, canyoneering pack ever made. Imagine: no more bringing inflatable tubes to float your pack through potholes or river crossings in Utah’s canyon country. This pack will do it all and I can’t wait to get my hands on one for Southern Utah slot-canyon adventures.
The Klymit Splash 25 will be available with a MSRP of $119.95. KLYMIT DASH 10
Also new from Klymit is the Dash 10. Klymit describes it as a pack built for runners as it’s light weight and features a running-specific harness. The Dash 10 also has Air Frame technology with easy pump access for on-the-go adjustments. The adjustable straps customize to all body types. The 10L pack also features a hydration bladder and is water bottle compatible. The Klymit Dash 10 will be available with a MSRP of $89.95
