Update – 11/21/16
Due to a lack of snowfall and warm temperatures, Utah ski resorts have been forced to push back their opening dates. Thankfully, as I write this, the Wasatch is getting buried in snow, so fingers crossed that we will be skiing by the updated opening dates below.
Skiers in Utah are digging their fingernails into the arms of their chairs, waiting for winter to begin. Well, ski season is a lot closer than it seems, less than a month away as of this writing. Ski Utah has compiled the projected opening dates for the 2016 season and, as always, Brighton is being cagey about announcing anything concrete. A good tactic, which is probably why they are always the first to open each year.
Here is the list of all 14 Utah ski resort 2016 opening dates. I will update as the TBDs decide to stop having commitment issues.
Alta: Dec. 2
Beaver Mountain: TBD
Brian Head: Nov. 25
Cherry Peak: TBD
