You may have heard, but my body runs on two things: coffee in the morning, and beer in the evening. Both are equally important has far as how much better life is with these delicious liquids. But they say breakfast is the most important meal, so coffee wins – as long as it’s hot. Keeping coffee hot outdoors can be tricky, especially in winter, so you need a vacuum sealed bottle like the 3Sixty Pour by Avex.
I’ve been using the 3Sixty Pour since spring, and, well, summertime isn’t the best season to test a bottle that keeps your coffee hot. But here we are in the fall, and the air is finally cold. So, does this bottle keep my favorite fluid palatable all day? First the details.
The Avex 3Sixty Pour Insulated Bottle features:
- Vacuum-insulation keeps beverages hot for up to 16 hours
- 360 degree pour spout interface allows for a smooth pour at every angle
- Leak and spill proof lid with a half-turn valve for easy opening
- Double wall cup to keep beverages at the perfect temperature while on the go
- Exclusive, patent-pending, base design grips table tops and reduces clanking
- Interchangeable components
- 100% BPA-free
I’ve taken my on-the-go coffee within the 3Sixty Pour to work, on hikes, and on mountain bike rides. I keep the bottle in my truck. I’ll take a few drinks before hitting the trail, then lock it up in the cab so it can await my return. And that coffee better damn well be hot when I get back, because there is nothing worse than lukewarm coffee.
So far, Avex has come through. My coffee stays hot at least for 8 hours before it begins cooling down. As a result, I don’t entirely buy-in on their claim that liquids will stay hot up to 16 hours, but it won’t be cold either. To get the hotness to last longer, I’d probably need to prime the bottle first by warming the inside with boiling water before pouring in the coffee… but I never do. In any case, I’ve been happy with the bottle’s performance while using it on a casual basis.
What really makes the Avex 3Sixty Pour stand out from other insulated bottles I’ve owned, is the small details. I really appreciate the 360-degree pour spout. This allows me to pour my coffee into the cap from any angle, which is great if I’m multitasking and busy with my other hand (get that image out of your head right now…. dirty.)
I also really like the base grip. This rubbery, grippy material on the bottom of the bottle keeps it from sliding on surfaces, like counters or tables, which can help prevent tippage and spillage. And like most insulated bottles, the cap/cup is essential for adding a little “something something” to your individual servings, or for passing a hot drink around with friends.
The Good: Keeps liquids hot all day, thoughtful design elements make it fun and easy to use.
The Bad: Don’t bet your life that it keeps liquids hot for 16 hours, especially if you take it out in very cold days.
Final Word: Overall, I’m happy with the Avex 3Sixty Pour so far. It keeps my cherished coffee hot for at least 8 hours, and a thoughtful design makes it very user-friendly.
The bottle is great and keeps my drinks hot or cold! This is the best water bottle I’ve ever owned. I love it!
