Klymit, ever the innovator of cool camping and backpacking gear, had several products at Outdoor retailer 2017 Winter Market that will be available this spring, including insulated versions of the Hammock V and Double V sleepoing pads, 0-degree versiosn of the award-winning KSB sleeping bags, and a new lineof quilted sheets that fit over your existing Static V sleeping pads.
KSB 0 and KSB 0 OVERSIZED
The Klymit KSB 20-degree sleeping bag won awards and the admiration of backpackers evreywhere. So the company is coming out with a 0-degree version. The KSB 0 features a 650-fill power with white duck down insulation. It also has a draft collar, overstuffed foot box, and an insulated mummy hood. But the thing that these sleeping bags are best known for are the flexible baffles so you can roll around all night and never feel constricted as the bag moves with your body.
There will also be an Oversized version for larger folks that is 84.5″ x 40″. But the cool thing Klymit did is that they came up with a way to “shrink” the bag if someone who isn’t large needs to borrow the bag. By using the adjustable Length Locks, you can reduce the bag to 15″ in length – so small that it will fit a 5’3″ person. There will also be a KSB 20 Oversized available as well.
V SHEET AND QUILTED V SHEET
For those of us who dislike the feeling of sleeping on a plastic/rubbery camping pad, Klymit is introducing the V Sheet. These are soft and warm sheets made from 30D stretch polyester that can fit over any Klymit Static V sleeping pad. They are c=machine washable and have a large pillow pocket. There’s the standard version, and the Quilted V, which adds a synthetic insulation fill for colder nights.
