My name is Jared Hargrave. I’m 40-years-old. And my favorite run at Alta is Eddie’s High Nowhere. If I were in 4FRNT’s new video, “Faces of Alta,” that’s what my ugly mug would say to the camera. 4FRNT is a Salt Lake City-based ski company and clearly they have a love for Alta, and it shows in this video.
From 4FRNT: “From top pros, to weekend warriors, many skiers call Alta Ski Area home. We spent a day getting to know, and chasing around a handful of local Alta rippers. Take a look at their favorite runs, and why these hard charging locals call Alta home.” Here’s the video.

Now, for a video titled “Faces of Alta” I would have hoped to see a bit more diversity of the folks who ski there. Aside from the 6-year-old who kicks off the edit, they make it seem like Alta is only frequented by 20-somethings.
Despite the exclusion of a gigantic swath of Alta’s skiing demographic, the video still captures the vibe, feeling, and good times of a day of skiing at Alta, and shows why many of us keep going back again and again.
