Check your rope and harness and chalk up those hands, because the tenth annual Ogden Climbing Festival is this weekend, April 7th and 8th.
Presented by Black Diamond, the festival is an opportunity to take your climbing skills to the next level with multiple clinics taught by pro rock climbers. You can learn everything from the basics of top-roping, to expert skills like advanced protection, anchoring, and rescue. There will also be stewardship and service opportunities, equipment demos, trailwork and crag cleanups, and free indoor climbing.
But the big news for this years Ogden Climbing Festival is the two keynote speakers. Athletes Alex Honnold and Cedar Wright will be joining the fun to discuss their experiences as professional rock climbers who are consistently pushing the sport forward. Food and beverage provided by Union Grill. There will also be music, a sponsors fair, massive raffle with thousands of dollars in swag, and multimedia shows presented by Wright, and Honnold!
