“Celebrating the Winter Human-Powered Experience.” That’s the motto of the Winter Wildlands Alliance. If that’s a mantra you also live by, then get your butt to downtown Salt Lake City on November 16th because their 2017 Backcountry Film Festival is coming to Brewvies.
Adventure, environment and climate, youth outdoors, ski culture- you’ll find it all in this award winning lineup. This year’s festival tour is the 13th, and the Salt Lake City stop’s proceeds will benefit the Wasatch Backcountry Alliance.

Winter Wildlands Alliance is a national nonprofit organization that partners with groups like Wasatch Backcountry Alliance at the local level to inspire and educate the backcountry community to protect and care for their winter landscapes. Funds raised at each screening stay in the local community to support human-powered recreation and conservation efforts, winter education and avalanche/safety programs and to raise awareness of winter management issues.
