Winter is almost here. The snow guns are spraying and storms are lining up. If all goes well, Solitude Mountain Resort will open with new improvements for the 2017/18 ski season. Read below for a list of the Solitude new improvements.
Conditions permitting, Solitude will open on Saturday, December 2nd. The mountain usually opens with 3 lifts spinning and 6 runs for skiers and snowboarders. The Solitude Nordic Center is also scheduled to open December 2nd.
“Our Solitude family couldn’t be more excited to kick off the 2017-18 winter season,” said Solitude Mountain Resort General Manager Kim Mayhew. “We’ve worked hard making key improvements and upgrades this spring, summer and fall with our guests in mind to offer an even better ski and snowboard experience.”
2017/18 New Improvements
When skiers and snowboarders come to Solitude this season, they will see several changes. First, the Roundhouse restaurant will reopen after a huge remodel. Once again they will offer a Himalayan and Wasatch-inspired menu. In addition, the Last Chance and Moonbeam lodges will have interior upgrades.
On the mountain, the SolBright Trail has been realigned. This is great news for anyone who has been stuck on this trail on a powder day and had to basically hike out. The new alignment on the Solitude return portion will make getting back to the resort much easier.
Over on the Nordic side, skiers can rent a fully upgraded fleet of Rossignol gear along with an entirely new inventory at the Nordic Center.
And if you haven’t seen it yet, go check out the new website at solitudemountain.com. Not only is it a new web address, but the site itself is fully upgraded with up-to-date daily mountain conditions and user-friendly trip planning tools. These include information about what to do, where to stay, where to eat, and not-to-be-missed resort events.
For the 2017/18 season, full-day lift ticket prices are $88 for adults, $62 for seniors, $56 for juniors, and free for children 6 years old and under. Season passes can also be purchased at solitudemountain.com/lift-tickets.
