The great thing about living and recreating in Utah is the ability to do just about anything no matter the time of year. Case in point: mountain biking in St. George in February.
The trails have dried out and the biking is out of this world with perfect temperatures in the low 60’s. At least for now. There certainly will be a big storm to ruin the conditions (it is still winter after all.)
But in the meantime, some friends headed south to mountain bike the Zen and Bearclaw Poppy Trails while they had the chance.
The Zen Trail is a 6-mile loop thought by many to be the most technical ride in the Dixie area, and Bearclaw Poppy is an 11-mile singletrack dream that looks a lot like the trails found in Fruita, Colorado.
Jared Anderton brought his GoPro HD camera along for the ride and put together this video that you can watch below. It showcases some of the best parts of the rides while also providing a reminder that even in the snowy months, excellent biking can be found if you know where to look.
