A ton of autumn snow and cold temperatures started off ski season right in Utah, allowing ski resorts to open their doors earlier than anticipated. Brighton was the first resort to fire up the lifts this year when they officially opened today at 9am.
Skiers and snowboarders at Brighton can enjoy day-one by doing laps on packed powder, accessed by the Majestic and Snake Creek Express chairs. And thanks to a great early-season base, Brighton says the Crest and Explorer chair lifts will also open soon. For more info, visit Brighton’s website.
Other Utah resorts are right on Brighton’s heels as Solitude opens on Friday, November 12, with Snowbird right behind them with a Saturday, November 13th opening.
Solitude plans on operating three lifts when they open, including Moonbeam, Link and Apex. Early season lift tickets cost only $49 for adults and $29 for kids. Check out Solitude online for more.
Snowbird will run the Aerial Tram, Gadzoom and Chickadee when they officially kick off their 40th year of operation on Saturday. Early season tickets cost $64 for adults and $20 for Chickadee only. Look for excellent snow conditions thanks to over 50 inches of snowfall in the last two weeks, and cold weather to keep it there. For the latest update, visit Snowbird.com.
