Calling all artists, graphic designers, and doodling skiers! Alta’s 75th anniversary is coming up during the 2012/13 ski season, and they’re already making big plans for the occasion. As part of this huge milestone, Alta needs an official 75th Anniversary t-shirt, and they want you to create it.
Imagine, becoming a part of Alta history as the shirt you designed hangs in the windows of Alta ski shops, as tourists flock from the world over to collect this gem of cotton threads woven in perfect harmony with an uber-cool graphic that came from your owm powder-addled mind. Envision a future where hot skier chicks (or dudes) gather for the High-Boy party during Alta’s last day, wearing nothing but skin-tight pants and the shirt with your name on it. Now is your chance to realize such notoriety by entering Alta’s 75th Anniversary T-Shirt Design Contest.
If your design is chosen to grace the front of these sure-to-sell-like-hotcake shirts, then you will not only be able to revel in the fact that you won, but you can also get other prizes, depending on how you place among your peers. Here are the spoils, as listed on Alta’s website:
1st Place: Chosen design will be featured on T-shirts sold exclusively in Alta Ski Shops during the 2012-2013 season.
2nd Place: 4 Alta day passes, valid during the 2012-2013 season.
3rd Place: 2 Alta day passes, valid during the 2012-2013 season.
Alta bigwigs suggest that designs include terms like “75th Anniversary”, “Since 1938”, etc, but it is not required. They also suggest that you may also choose to include your name in your design. So sharpen up those pencils, fire up the graphic design software, and head up to Alta for some spring skiing for inspiration, because the entries must be in by April 15th, 2012.
To enter, submit your designs by email to connie@alta.com.
All submissions must be in .AI, .EPS or .PSD format and have a minimum resolution of 300ppi. Also, all fonts and image files must be included or attached.
The winner will be announced on Saturday, April 21st on www.alta.com and Facebook.
Good luck and we hope to be wearing your design next season!
