Video: On Fire – behind the scenes with an Alta Ski Patroller
Ever wonder what life is like for an Alta Ski Patroller? Well Alta’s own Brett Korpela shot video all season long called “On Fire,” that gives us a behind-the-scenes look at what winter looks like from a ski patroller’s point of view. There’s explosions, awesome avalanche footage, lots of offbeat Alta culture, and of course, copious amounts of powder skiing.

According to Korpela, the video highlights his season as, “going from worst start I have ever seen at Alta to praying for snow around the bonfire and getting a couple sick days in after all. Even at it’s worst Alta keeps giving!” So strap on the radios, put your arms through that red coat, lower your goggles, and prepare to spend a season as with the Alta Ski Patrol… all under five minutes.
