The 2017 Wasatch Mountain Film Festival starts on Monday, June 19th and run through Saturday, June 24th. This year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever as more movies, more guest hosts, and more overall fun is on the docket.

This 6-day event will screen the best in outdoor adventure films from around the world that will also show documentaries about the environment, culture and the current political landscape. With over 60 films on the schedule, there’s a screening for all interests. Each day will feature a block of films to be screened at different auditoriums along the Wasatch Front from Park City, to Salt Lake, Sandy and Snowbird. See the full schedule here.
Films include “Happiness” about George Jedenoff, the 99 year old Alta skier, as well as a documentary about Philanthropist Greg Mortensen titled “3000 Cups of Tea.” And that just scratches the surface of films to be screened.
In addition to the film screenings, each event will feature festival ambassadors and guest hosts. Big names in the outdoor world, like Jared Campbell, Mike Libecki, Julian Carr, Brody Leven, Apa Sherpa, Andrew Muse, and Caroline Gleich will all be in attendance with film directors who will be present to help host and conduct Q&A sessions. There will even be live music with local band, Bill N Diane performing at pre-show mixers prior to screenings.
