Award winning mountain bike documentary, Klunkerz is screening in Cedar City to benefit the 222nd Family Readiness Group. Klunkerz is a nostalgic look at mountain biking’s beginnings, and how a group of Northern California hippies modified fat tire bikes for off-road trails which lead to the mountain bike as we know it today.
Klunkerz will be screening at Main Street Park in Ceday City at 7pm on Friday, July 8th. The movie is part of the pre-race party and expo for the FireRoad Cycling event that will take place the following morning, July 9th at 8 AM. There will be a “meet and greet” under the pavilion in Main Street Park from 6:30 – 7:30 PM were everyone can mingle with the athletes and wish them luck, take a photo with celebrity participants and join in the festivities.
The Klunkerz screening is free but donations are welcome to support the 222nd Family Readiness Group (FRG). The FRG is comprised of family members of the 222nd Field Artillery who are deployed to Iraq for the next year.
