Utah’s ski resort closing dates are set, that is if the weather cooperates. The ski season of 2011/2012 was unusually dry and warm, leaving Utah’s resorts with thin snowpacks. Add summer-like temperatures in March, and the snow is melting fast. This warm spring begs the question – will Utah’s ski resorts be able to stay open much longer? Will skiers and snowboarders be heading to the mountains, or will they instead grease up their mountain bike chains and organize the rock climbing gear racks?
If you plan on keeping the dream alive with corn skiing and barbecues in the ski resort parking lots, you better get your turns in soon, because most resorts will close in mid-April. Below are the projected closing dates of the 14 ski resorts in Utah. Of course, these dates may change due to snow conditions, so keep checking back to updated info.
