There’s a brand new, elite trail running team in the United States, and Utah’s own Salomon and Backcountry.com are instigators. This new partnership of human goats joining forces with Internet goats is a collaboration between Salomon Sports and our favorite outdoor gear purveyor. Athletes on this new team include Aliza Lapierre, Cassie Scallon, Emma Garrard, Stevie Kremer, John Tribbia, Lindsay Krause, Josiah Middaugh, Rickey Gates and Adam Chase.
According to a press release announcing the new running team, each athlete will not just run their legs off, but will also be “regular content contributors to the explore section of Backcountry.com, informing the Salomon and Backcountry.com audiences through their different specialties and skills as storytellers, trainers, writers and photographers. In addition, they will be reviewing gear and uploading photos and videos.”
“Salomon and Backcountry.com share a passion for mountain heritage and a zeal for off-road endurance athletes. It makes perfect sense to partner and share the knowledge our athletes have with the Backcountry.com audience as well,” says Adam Chase, captain and manager of Team Salomon US.
“We are excited that the Salomon-Backcountry.com team has come together with the elite athletes that are a part of it,” says Jonny Atencio sports marketing manager at Backcountry.com. “These athletes will be an important part of growing the trail and mountain running community on our site. They will provide great insight on training and gear reviews for our audience as well.”
