Ever drop your phone? Ever break or lose your phone because you dropped it? Us outdoorsy folks sure have to be careful when on the crag or paddling on the water. So how do you protect it? Beeline Cases seems to have found an answer, and was showing them off at the Outdoor Retailer 2015 Winter Market.
Beeline Founder, Brent Williams, came up with the idea while riding a chairlift at Whistler/Blackcomb. He pulled out his brand new iPhone, and accidentally dropped it off the lift and never found it. To solve this problem he invented the Beeline. It’s a slim, yet rugged case with a retractable line and carabiner inside. You simply clip the carabiner to a belt loop, harness strap, pack, fishing waders (you name it) and you’ll never drop your phone again.
The materials used are quality. According to Williams, the zinc carabiner is secured to a 30-inch, non fraying Kevlar cord. It automatically retracts into the phone case or locks in place then retracts with the push of a button.
The case is a double-layer of hard shell and shock absorbing lining. The outer shell has great grip, but doesn’t interfere with the on/off and volume buttons.
The Beeline will be available in major outdoor retailers soon as Williams says everyone is on board with the idea. They will initially be available for the iPhone 6, 6+, 5, and 5s. An Android version is currently in the works. They will also come in a variety of colors and have an MSRP of $59.99
