“Cheap Ski Movie” looks unlike any ski porn ever made. Although most ski movies are usually pretty dumb, at least the skiers in them seem to be aware of this, and are able to make fun of themselves. Maybe that’s the point of “Cheap Ski Movie,” which is described by the filmmakers as, “the Wayne’s World Version of a Warren Miller movie.”
The premise goes like this: Jonny and Lou are ski bums who have dreams of making a ski movie of their own in the grand tradition of Warren Miller. Problem is, they’re dirt broke. So instead of spending money they don’t have to travel to ski resorts around the country, they make cardboard cutouts of themselves and send them off to make the movie for them. Somehow, those cutouts get to meet the world’s top skiers and travel to events like the X Games. Somehow, a movie comes out of this.
Confused? Maybe the trailer will help clarify things.
Looks like this “movie” has it all – bad acting, mediocre skiing, and stiff performances. Segments of “Cheap Ski Movie” were filmed at Brighton Ski Resort, and several local skiers make an appearance.
Again, “Cheap Ski Movie” screens at Brewvies on Thursday, November 11th at 7pm. They say if there’s enough demand, a second show will happen at 9pm. You must be 21 or older to attend. Tickets are a *cheap* $5 and can be purchased at the door, or in advance at any Ski N’ See location.

Thanks so much for the plug and the excellent review to help lower expectations. That’s we promote our show as the worst ski movie ever made. Hey, it’s only $5 and the beer is on special. See you there and thanks again. – Jonny & Lou
