The holiday season will soon be over, after Christmas and New Year’s wraps up and we all go back to our normal lives and schedules for another year. But just because the season of giving ends, doesn’t mean we all should say “Bah Humbug” the rest of the year. Good thing there are still ways to give, and they’re even ways to have fun outdoors – like the Park City Snowshoe/Running Shoe Stomp 5k.
The Park City Stomp is a winter 5k race at Park City’s Rail Trail. The Stomp is on Saturday, January 12 at 10am. You can either clomp around in snowshoes, or run and slide to the finish line in your sneakers.
The organizers of the race, Sports-Am, is teaming up with the Road Home to help them continue their mission of providing help and shelter to families who have lost their jobs by assisting them through transition, helping children continue to get to school, and providing their basic necessities like clothing and food. As a result everyone who participates in the Park City Stomp is encouraged to bring a can of non-perishable food, or a gently used winter coat of any size.
