You know fall is near when ski movie trailers are being released left and right. Well this week, our Friday Video is a preview of the new backcountry ski film, “Elevation,” from Utah’s own Powderwhore Productions.
A ton of locals appear in the film, despite the fact that the crew went far beyond the confines of the Beehive State this go-round. Athletes include well-known names like Andrew McLean, Noah Howell, The Dorais brothers (Jason and Andy,) the Provo brothers (Neil and Ian,) and of course the Wizard of the Wasatch himself, Bob Athey. They all travel the west in search of human-powered adventure in the Cascades, Tetons, Wallowa Mountains, Alaska, and of course a Powderwhore movie wouldn’t be complete without a powder segment in the Wasatch.
So behold, the trailer for “Elevation.”
If you’re a Utah skier, I say forget the same-old, boring Warren Miller crap and make Powderwhore a new, annual tradition. You can find tour information and even buy the DVD at the Powderwhore Productions website.
