Do you dream of being a sponsored skier or snowboarder? Do you have the chops to ski or snowboard Utah’s 14 resorts while being followed by photographers and look damn good while doing it? Then check this out: Ski Utah is assembling an athlete team for the 2016-17 season. This is the first time they have ever done something like this, so it’s an unparalleled opportunity for ski fame and fortune.
Ski Utah is looking for two skiers and one snowboarder to travel with them to Utah’s 14 resorts.
Twice a week, you’ll get to participate in on-mountain photo shoots to create content that promotes skiing and snowboarding in Utah.
So what’s in it for you besides being able to shred all over the state and have your rad self splashed all over promotional materials? Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll get:
- A Ski Utah Silver Pass ($3150 value) valid at all 14 Utah resorts.
- A full kit provided by Ski Utah’s gear sponsors: Rossignol, Smith, and Eider.
- A portfolio of photography and video clips at the end of the season.
- Ski Industry and Resort networking opportunities.
Of course to qualify, you’ll have to be a pretty good skier or snowboarder that can expertly make turns in a variety of conditions and terrain including powder, groomers, park and pipe and more. In addition, you must be available twice a week to shoot on the mountain, which, depending on the venue, may require overnight travel and early mornings. But these trips will include food, lodging, and transportation that will all be covered by Ski Utah. Here’s a breakdown of all the job requirements:
- Expert skier or snowboarder in a variety of terrain from steep and deep to park and pipe.
- No prior commitments to sponsors that conflict with Ski Utah sponsors including: Rossignol, Smith Optics, Eider, Hot Chilly’s, and Monster.
- Proof of Health Insurance.
- Ability to promote Ski Utah content through your personal social channels. You must positively represent the Ski Utah brand across all platforms.
- Ability to ski up to 2x per week with Ski Utah filmers and photographers. We need skiers and boarders who plan to stay in the state for most of the season.
Interested in the gig? Here’s what you need to apply:
- A resumé of ski and snowboard related experience and achievements including avalanche education.
- Photography and video assets documenting ski and/or snowboard ability.
- A brief essay on why this position would be beneficial to your future goals in the ski and snowboard industry.
