Inaugural El Doce mountain bike endurance race at PowMow

There’s a new mountain bike endurance race coming to Utah and it promises to be unlike anything Utah has seen so far. The race is called El Doce, and organizers hope it will become Northern Utah’s premier 12-hour mountain biking event.

El Doce will take place on Saturday, August 19th at Powder Mountain Resort. The lap course will be nearly 12-miles long covering mountain singletrack that is entirely IMBA designed. Each loop will have almost 1,200 feet of elevation gain (1,188 feet to be exact). Organizers say that’s where the race name comes from – 1200 feet and 12 miles = doce (12 in Spanish for those of you who failed the class in high school.)

The course promises tons of picturesque vistas, challenging features, and downright fun mountain biking.
