Cloudveil has undergone a huge transition this past year, after the Jackson, Wyoming-based company was bought by private investors and moved to Massachusetts. The new owners have restructured operations and are now focusing on the basics of outdoor gear with hard and softshell jackets, pants and mid-layers. The new Cloudveil had a presence at the Outdoor Retailer 2011 Winter Market and their booth was hopping with interested retailers.
Before the reborn Cloudveil starts to devolop new designs, they’re concentrating on bringing back the classics that made Cloudveil known for quality gear. The RPK Jacket is a technical hard shell outer layer that comes in two different colors, has a removeable hood and powder skirt.
Another hardshell jacket is the Koven Jacket with Cloudburst stretch fabric.
Back by huge popular demand is the Koven Pant. These hardshell pants went away for a while, but Cloudveil has listened to the consumers and are bringing the classic back. They will be available in two colors (dark shadow and black.)
In the more rain jacket-type category comes the Cloudveil Zorro Jacket. The mens version above comes in four different colors.
Cloudveil also has this Run Don’t Walk full-zip hoody with a super stretchy and breathable back panel.
On the synthetic insulation front, there’s the very nice Hoback Jacket with pit-zips and Primaloft fill. Available in both mens and womens styles.
There’s much more to look forward to from Cloudveil this year as they forge ahead with a new vision. Visit Cloudveil online at www.cloudveil.com
Good to see the new management team is getting their adt together. I was afraid they were turning it into a cash cow.
