It’s hard to think about snow with valley temperatures in the mid 90s, but Absinthe Films is here to change your mindset. A lot of videos premiere in places like Colorado, SoCal or New York City, but the Absinthe crew chose Utah as the place to launch their North American video tour. Their 2011 offering, “twe12ve,” is set to premier in Park City on Friday night, and it’s a double feature – movie goers will also be treated to the newest film from the YES crew: “YES. It’s a Movie.”
As the title indicates, the featured riders have been slimmed down to a field of 12: Annie Boulanger, Bode Merrill, Dan Brisse, DCP, Gigi Ruff and seven other heavy hitters will provide the pow slashes and upside down spinny-flippy stuff for “twe12ve.” Absinthe has put out some serious shred flicks in the past, and with the bounty that Ullr bestowed upon the mountains last season, you can expect some high quality footage.
The Santy Auditorium in Park City will be Friday night’s venue for the films. Doors open at 8pm and the event will feature rider appearances, autographs and prizes. The theatre goes dark at 8:30 and the shred porn commences! Tickets are $15 and you can scoop them up at Milosport, Marty’s Board Shop and Recycle Utah. Saturday night the Absinthe show comes to Salt Lake City. Tower Theatre is the place to be when the party kicks off at 8:30pm. Tickets to the SLC show can be purchased at Milosport and Blindside. The Utah Bike Collective will also be in the house to help set off the party. Check out the Absinthe Films website for more details or watch the trailer below.
