Spreading Homegrown Recreation Entertainment Diversity. Put that together and you get SHRED. You can “spread the shred” in Salt Lake City on Saturday, November 3rd during Shred Fest 3.0.
Presented by Milosport, the Shred Fest SLC stop happens at Liberty Park. There are tons of ski and snowboard events to get you stoked for winter. There will be a rail jam for skiers and snowboarders, live music, good food, and even a lumberjack festival. According to Shred Fest organizer, James Patrick Fleege, new this year is keg bowling. Of course it’s not a party without beer, and Uinta Brewing has you covered with a beer garden on site.
Shred Fest is also a great way to hang out with some of the most iconic winter athletes around. Pros like Tanner Hall, Jeremy Jones, Ian Hamilton and many more will make appearances.
But Shred Fest is much more than just getting stoked watching people hit jumps in an urban setting. Here’s how they describe it in their manifesto:
“When we first started Shred Fest, our goal was to create an all-inclusive event that celebrated our passions for skiing, snowboarding, skateboarding, live music, and more. We wanted to make it possible for all skiers, riders, and skaters to connect under one community base. Debuting in Missoula, Shred Fest has spread the love to Salt Lake City and will be making its first appearance this Fall 2018 in Denver.”
“With every new year, the Shred Fest community seeks to foster new relationships and provide the opportunity for people to connect and promote the values of our collective. We don’t just want to be a catalyst for skiers and riders to come together and kickoff the new season, we want to build a movement from the ground up, developing a lifestyle of passion, promoting an open community atmosphere, and bringing inspiration to fruition.”
